Puffin trips - leaving from Uig
90 minute trip to the Puffin breeding colony on the Ascrib Islands! Enjoy the stunning views of these protected islands and observing the puffins in the water and on the cliffs. Puffins are around Skye for their breeding season from May - July. During these months we are able to guarantee that you will be seeing these stunning birds!

Please note:
The Puffins arrive in their breeding colonies mid April and will leave again at the end of July/early August. We can guarantee to spot the puffins during May June and July. As with other wildlife spotting it's difficult to guarantee, but all our skippers know the best places to maximise your chances of spotting the wildlife and make it a memorable trip.
Did you know?
The cute appearance of the puffin, with its large red bill and feet and its striking plumage, has resulted in nicknames such as "clown of the ocean" and "sea parrot".
What to bring?
Although the SkyeXplorer II offers plenty of shelter from the elements, we recommend that you dress warm and bring waterproofs. No muddy shoes please.
Trips can book out a few weeks in advance. To avoid disappointment I recommend to book your places as early as possible.

Terms & Conditions
In the event of the weather being unsuitable in the interests of comfort and safety, the trip will be cancelled. In such events, passengers will be offered an alternative date. If not suitable for the passenger, there will be a full refund. In event of the passenger cancelling there will be no refund unless the seat can be re-sold, in which case there will be a refund (subject to deduction of a 10% admin charge.) We do not store credit card details, nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
